Our Area Emergency Communications Specialists have organized a wonderful event to showcase the various options for emergency communications during a disaster. Several new options and technologies have emerged in recent past. There are general sessions and hands-on breakout sessions outlined in the attached flyer and agenda. What a great opportunity to send representatives from stakes and units, such as priesthood leaders, relief society leaders, emergency response coordinators, emergency communications coordinators, and so forth. No prior emergency communications knowledge is required, and these sessions can be of great assistance in educating your members and helping you meet your goals for emergency planning and preparedness.
